Here is an example of a restored original game on the right and a resto-mod on the left. The resto-mod is a classic on the outside and all updated modern hardware on the inside. The CRT monitor which can be intimidating to the uninitiated has been replaced with a high-quality liquid crystal display mounted using a floating screen effect behind smoky plexiglass. The big bulky power modules consisting of several isolation transformers and a power conversion printed circuit board (PCB) have been replaced with moder switching power and a built-in surge protector. The original game PCB has been replaced with an emulation software on a dedicated piece of hardware one fifth of the size. This hardware software combo can offer either the original game or a multitude of additional classic vertical games. These resto-mods are available sporadically since each one is built from an original nostalgic chassis and they just aren’t making them any longer. Contact us for availability.
